Harakeke Creations, Amy P is made up of two very passionate people that separately possess skills when combined create a great partnership.

Amy’s turangawaewae is Tauwhare Marae, located approximately 12km from Hamilton, within the Ngati Haua rohe. Amy was bought up, where Tikanga/Customs, Te Reo/language, and Kawa/Protocol, was an integral part of her life. 


In 2009 Amy’s partner of five years was laid off from his employment leaving the couple in a bind as her third daughter was only five months old. As a way of making ends meet, Amy began making harakeke earrings and pendants and visiting workplaces selling her wares. From there they have progressed slowly into the business they have built up today.
